Friedrich Magnus V. of Solms-Wildenfels
Friedrich Magnus V. Count of Solms-Wildenfels (born November 1, 1886 in Wildenfels , † September 6, 1945 in Groß-Schweidnitz ) was a German nobleman , officer and politician . He was a member of the Saxon state parliament .
Family and life
Solms-Wildenfels was the son of Friedrich Magnus IV. Count of Solms-Wildenfels (1847-1910) and his wife Jacqueline Christine Anne Adelaide Countess Bentinck (born January 4, 1855, † December 12, 1933). Solms-Wildenfels married on January 4, 1925 in Wildenfels Princess Marie von Schwarzburg (* February 7, 1898 - November 4, 1984), daughter of Prince Sizzo von Schwarzburg (1860–1926) and Alexandra von Anhalt (1868–1958) . The couple had five children:
- Anne Alexandra (* 1926),
- Friedrich Magnus (* 1927),
- Jutta (* 1928),
- Albrecht Sizzo (* 1929) and
- Kristin (* 1938).
After the death of his father in 1910, Solms-Wildenfels became the ruling count of Wildenfels . As such, he was a member of the Saxon state estates. The TH Dresden made him an honorary senator in 1931. Count Friedrich Magnus V, was arrested by the National Socialists in 1940 and died five years later in the Groß-Schweidnitz mental hospital .
