Friedrich Maul

Friedrich Maul (born January 20, 1908 in Bavaria; † date unknown) was President of the Central Telecommunications Office in Darmstadt from 1963 to 1973 .

Life

After graduating in 1928, Maul studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich until 1932. He then initially worked as a freelance engineer, for example between 1933 and 1937 on developments in the telecommunications industry. Then he joined the Deutsche Reichspost as a postal trainee. In 1939 he became a postassessor at the RPD Hamburg . He took part in the Second World War as a communications technology consultant. In July 1945, the postal service was resumed as head of the telecommunications department at the Nuremberg Post Office . The appointment to the Oberpostrat took place in 1946, the department president a year later. Between 1961 and 1963 he was President of the OPD Trier . He was appointed President of the Central Telecommunications Office on August 1, 1963; he held this post until his retirement on February 1, 1973.
