Friedrich Ostermann (literary scholar)

Friedrich Ostermann (born July 4, 1918 in Werl ; † March 12, 2006 in Saarbrücken ) was a German literary scholar , German didactic and reformer of teacher training.

Ostermann had been a lecturer since 1963 and a professor at the Saarbrücken University of Education since 1968 . From 1978 he taught at the University of Saarland as a professor for modern German philology and literary studies as well as didactics of the subject German. In his work and studies he devoted himself in particular to the reform of German teaching in schools and teacher training.
