The Friedrich Reinhardt Verlag is an evangelical publishing company and is headquartered in Basel .
history
The publishing house was founded in 1900 by the Swiss printing entrepreneur Friedrich Reinhardt in Basel. For a long time the focus of the publishing program was on Christian literature . In 1999 the publishing house expanded its activities by purchasing the Cratander AG printing company . This brought the weekly newspapers Birsigtal-Bote and Basel Live into the publishing house. In 2002 the publishing house Schudel & Co. AG in Riehen was taken over, so that since then the Riehener Zeitung (RZ) appears as another weekly newspaper in the Friedrich Reinhardt Verlag.
On May 1, 2010, Friedrich Reinhardt Verlag took over LV Lokalzeitungen Verlags AG from Basler Zeitung Medien .
Publishing program
In addition to non-fiction books , thrillers and novels , the publisher also publishes theological books such as the German-language Herrnhuter slogans and sells the associated app . In the area of non-fiction, numerous subject areas such as history, society, art, culture, cooking, nature and sport are covered.
