Friedrich Ludwig August von Germar (born May 6, 1787 in Eisenach , † November 21, 1842 in Weimar ) was a grand-ducal Saxon-Weimar colonel, chamberlain and personal adjutant to Grand Duke Karl August of Saxony-Weimar .

Life

He belonged to the Thuringian imperial knightly noble family von Germar with the progenitor Heinrich von Germar (1567-1638), (2nd line, 2nd branch) on Gorsleben and Martha von Bendeleben (1578-1635) from Kannawurf . His father was Friedrich Ludwig von Germar (1742-1805), his mother Luise Dorothea Christiana von Bendeleben (1754-1807).

On April 16, 1816, Friedrich married Julie Weber (1789–1854), the daughter of a Weimar court preacher. They had a son, Julius (1817–1859), and a daughter, Helene (1821–1890).
