Friedrich von Koenig

Friedrich von Koenig (born June 29, 1829 , † November 18, 1924 in Oberzell ) was a son of the printing machine manufacturer Friedrich Koenig .

Life

Together with his brother Wilhelm Koenig , he continued to run the factory after their father's death. When Andreas Friedrich Bauer , Friedrich König's business partner, died in 1905 , Friedrich von König became the new head of management. In 1865 he founded the factory savings bank and in 1868 the factory vocational school. In 1870, together with his fitter Josef Bechold, he set up the Koenigsche and Becholdsche Foundation, which enabled poor children to go to school. In 1875 von König designed the first web-fed rotary press .

Koenig was Mayor of Zell am Main from 1870 to 1876 .
