Fritz Leonhardt Prize
The Fritz Leonhardt Prize has been awarded every three years since 1999 by the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Engineers (INGBW) with the support of the Association of Consulting Engineers (VBI) for civil engineers. It is named after Fritz Leonhardt .
According to the statutes, the prize is awarded to outstanding civil engineers who combine form, function and aesthetics in the art of civil engineering in an exceptional way.
Initially it was endowed with 35,000 DM and later with 10,000 euros.

- 2005 René Walther (research on cable-stayed bridges, including the Rhine bridge near Diepoldsau )
- 2009 William F. Baker (he was, among other things, chief engineer of the Burj Dubai )
