Alfred Pauser

Alfred Pauser (* 1930 in Gmünd in Lower Austria ) is an Austrian structural engineer and bridge builder .

Life

Pauser studied civil engineering at the Vienna University of Technology and ended up as a working student. Initially he was an employee and then a partner in Herbert Wycital's engineering office . In 1964 he set up his own engineering office and from 1979 worked in partnership with Karl Beschorner, Peter Biberschick and Hans Klenovec. From 1982 to 1997, Pauser was a full professor at the Institute for Building Construction and Technology at the Technical University of Vienna , where he has taught since 1978.

He is particularly known as a bridge builder and is involved in more than half of Vienna's bridges, including the Donaustadtbrücke .
