Johann Joseph Ritter von Prechtl Medal

The Johann Joseph Ritter von Prechtl Medal is a medal that was donated in 1950 by the faculty of the Technical University of Vienna . It is named after the founder and long-time director of the Politechnikum , the predecessor of the Technical University, Johann Joseph Ritter von Prechtl .

It is awarded for significant achievements in the fields of engineering, natural sciences and architecture.
