Emil Mosonyi
Emil Mosonyi [ ˈɛmil ˈmoʃoɲi ] (born November 10, 1910 in Budapest , † April 24, 2009 in Karlsruhe ) was a German-Hungarian hydraulic engineer .
Live and act
Prof. em. Dr. mult. Emil Mosonyi held the chair at the Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Management at the University of Karlsruhe from 1965 to 1983 and was director of the Theodor Rehbock River Engineering Laboratory. His focus was the field of hydropower use.
He wrote specialist books that have been translated into many languages and are among the standard works in hydraulic engineering literature.
