Eduard Schrack
Eduard Schrack (born October 6, 1889 in Vienna ; † September 30, 1979 there ) was an Austrian industrialist and is considered the father of the Austrian broadcasting industry.
In 1914 Eduard Schrack invented an optical stereometric system for measuring terrain . In 1918 he was able to manufacture the first electron tubes for tube receivers in Austria . To this end, he founded the Schrack company, which later became Schrack AG and, in the 1990s, Schrack Technik . One of his partners when he was founded was the physicist Robert Ettenreich . In 1928 Schrack received his doctorate (Dr. phil.).
From 1929 to 1939, Schrack also produced in the former Zeiss factory in Vienna before it was handed over to Philips . In 1939 he acquired additional shares in Ericsson Österreichische Elektrizitäts AG . His son Eduard Harald Schrack joined this company in 1952.
