Bernard Rudofsky
Bernard Rudofsky (born March 19, 1905 in Suchdol nad Odrou , then Zaucht (e) l, Moravia ; † March 12, 1988 in New York City ) was an internationally active architect and cultural theorist who studied the relationship between lifestyle and architecture busy. He is the author of publications on Anonymous Architecture .
The Museum of Applied Arts (Vienna) showed in 1987 in honor of the architect a retrospective titled Bernard Rudofsky: Sparta / Sybaris. No new construction - a new way of life is necessary .
In 2009 the Rudofskyweg in Vienna- Donaustadt (22nd district) was named after him.
