Fritz-Wilhelm Pahl

Fritz-Wilhelm Pahl (* 1941 in Delbrück ) is a German entrepreneur. Between 1994 and 2002 he was President of the East Westphalia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is now Honorary President of the Chamber.

Life and work

Pahl studied after graduating from high school Theodorianum in Paderborn at the Technical University of Munich physics and engineering. In 1968 he joined Krauss-Maffei AG as a graduate engineer and focused on the development and construction of machines for plastics processing. In 1975 he took over management responsibility and a 50 percent stake in the Delbrück-based company Bette GmbH & Co. KG. He developed the company into a specialist company in steel forming and steel enamelling. Today, Bette manufactures bathtubs and shower trays, shower surfaces and washbasins made of enameled steel and operates worldwide. Pahl is an avowed family entrepreneur, his son Thilo C. Pahl was appointed as the company's successor as managing partner in 2012. Fritz-Wilhelm Pahl is married and has three children.

Social work

Fritz-Wilhelm Pahl is Honorary President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of East Westphalia in Bielefeld and was its President from 1994 to 2002. From 1990 to 1994 he was Vice-President of this Chamber. From 1996 to 2004 Pahl was also chairman of the SME Committee of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) . Furthermore, from 2002 to 2008 he was chairman of the Association of the German Sanitary Industry (VDS), the umbrella organization for this branch. Pahl was an honorary labor judge for 18 years and has been an honorary commercial judge at the Paderborn Regional Court since 2004 .

Honors

In 2013, Pahl was honored for his life's work by Aqua Cultura, a seal of quality for leading bathroom decorators in Germany and Switzerland, for his special services to the culture of the bathroom.
