Fritz Auer

Fritz Auer (born June 24, 1933 in Tübingen ) is a German architect and university professor .

Life

Auer studied at the Technical University of Stuttgart and at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills (Michigan, USA) and completed his studies in Stuttgart in 1962 as a graduate engineer. He worked for Günter Behnisch and Bruno Lambart in Stuttgart until 1965 and was co-founder of the Behnisch & Partner architectural office in 1966 . In 1980 Auer and Carlo Weber broke away from the partnership and founded their own office (today: " Auer Weber "). From 1985 to 1992 Fritz Auer taught as a professor for building construction and design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich , and from 1993 to 2001 as a professor for design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart . Since 1993 he has been a member of the Akademie der Künste. Fritz Auer lives in Stuttgart.
