Fritz Bennoeder

Fritz Bennöder was a German soccer player and soccer coach . He trained u. a. Schweinfurt 05 .

Life

Bennöder played in the years of the First World War up to the 1920s as a defender for seven years for SV Eintracht 04 and eight years for SC Wacker in Leipzig in the Gauliga Nordwestsachsen. It is first mentioned in the statistics in 1916. With Eintracht Leipzig he won the Central German soccer championship in 1915/16 .

Bennöder completed a total of 753 league games, played three times for the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs (VMBV), eight times for the district selection of North West Saxony and seven times in the Leipzig city selection. According to Fuge, he was one of the "50 most successful representative players" in the region of Northwest Saxony.

After his active time in Leipzig, Bennöder worked for Viktoria 96 and Germania Magdeburg; then for the police sports clubs Chemnitz and Duisburg 99 . After working in the Rhineland, he returned to Leipzig clubs as a coach. He also worked for the Riesa sports club as a sports advisor.

From July 1934 to April 1935 he trained Schweinfurt 05 . The club played in the Gauliga Bayern back then .

In 1937 he was a sports teacher at BC Hartha , with whom he was in the German Championship a. a. played against HSV .

  1. Bennöder's year of birth is not known. The fact that he played football for VMBV in 1916 suggests that at the time he was not old enough to be drafted. In these years, the clubs sometimes had a lot of trouble getting all the teams up for the Gau competitions.
