Franzisca Hauke

Franzisca "Sissy" Hauke (born September 10, 1989 in Hamburg ) is a German national hockey player .

Franzisca Hauke ​​started playing hockey at Harvestehuder THC . After a trip to Australia, she moved to the KTHC Stadion Rot-Weiss in Cologne in 2009 . She won the German indoor championship with Cologne in 2012 and was German outdoor champion several times, most recently in 2014.

Since 2005 she also played in the German national teams of different age groups, in 2007 she was third in the U18 European Championship. In 2008 Franzisca Hauke ​​won the U21 European Championship with the German team. After making her debut in the senior national team on February 5, 2011 , she won the title at the European Indoor Hockey Championship in 2012 . At the European Championships in 2013 , she won the outdoor title with the German team through penalty shoot-outs over England . After a second place at the World Indoor Championships in 2015 , Franzisca Hauke ​​reached third place with the German national team by defeating SpainEuropean Championship 2015 . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she and the German team won the bronze medal match against New Zealand . Franzisca Hauke ​​has played a total of 127 international matches so far, 13 of them indoors.

For winning the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, she received the Silver Laurel Leaf on November 1, 2016 .

Franzisca Hauke ​​is the sister of the Olympic hockey champion Tobias Hauke .
