Fritz Chwala

Friedrich Chwala (born August 26, 1872 in Vienna ; † June 15, 1936 ibid) was an Austrian landscape painter, son of the Czech painter Adolf Chwala (1836–1900).

Chwala received his first painting lessons together with his sister Leopoldine in his father's studio. Chwala continued his painting studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna .

Fritz Chwala mostly created alpine landscapes, often lunar landscapes. He visited Norway, where he portrayed fjord landscapes.
