Fritz Fickeisen

Fritz Fickeisen (born December 24, 1897 in Kusel ; † September 29, 1969 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Fickeisen attended elementary school and advanced training school. Then he trained as a miller. From 1928 to 1932 he was a Gause clerk as an invalid and after 1933 unemployed. He later worked as a casual worker and was interned in Dachau concentration camp from 1933 to 1934 . From 1937 he worked for a private health insurance company and did military service from 1940 to 1945. From 1946 he was an employee.

Since 1919 Fickeisen belonged to the SPD and in 1926 became SPD local group chairman. From 1928 to 1933 he was a member of the Kusel city council and head of the SAJ. In the time of National Socialism he could not continue his political activity. After the war he was a member of the district council in 1946 and district deputy in 1948. In 1947 he was again a member of the Kusel district council and in 1956 an alderman in Kusel. He was district secretary of the SPD until 1964.

In 1947 he was elected to the first state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged for two electoral terms until 1955. In the state parliament he was a member of the food and supply committee, refugee committee, border region committee, legal committee, rules of procedure and petition committee. In the second term he was a member of the Borderlands Committee.

He was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class.
