Fritz Gömöri

Fritz Wilhelm Gömöri (born January 16, 1894 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 20, 1939 there ) was a German bobsleigh athlete and automobile racing driver .

Career

Fritz Gömöri from Frankfurt am Main was one of the few athletes who achieved laurels in two sports.

In 1926, he won the 5-liter touring sports car class of the Great Feldberg Race in his private Steiger . At the Eifel race at the Nürburgring in 1928, he came second in this category.

Before he switched to four wheels, Fritz Gömöri was on runners , also successful here. With his partner Wetzel he won the German two-man bobsleigh championship in 1924. Wetzel / Gömöri drove the BC Taunus bobsleigh.
