Fritz Garbe

Fritz Garbe (born March 16, 1891 in Degersen , † March 15, 1970 in Hildesheim ) was a Protestant clergyman, archivist and church historian.

Life

Garbe studied Protestant theology and was ordained on October 31, 1921. He took up his first pastor as an assistant pastor in Hanover-Herrenhausen . In 1922 he became pastor in Marienwerder-Stöcken, in 1923 pastor in Bergen near Celle , 1927 in Hanstedt-Undeloh, 1931 in Haimar, 1935 in Hackenstedt-Sottrum. On May 1, 1938, he was retired. He then worked as an archivist at the regional church archive in Hanover. He published numerous inventories of church archives and chronicles of Hanoverian parishes.
