Fritz Grunert

Fritz Grunert (born October 31, 1930 in Altenfeld ; † October 10, 2001 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament .

Life

Grunert was a trained forestry worker. From 1951 to 1955 he studied forestry at the Humboldt University in Berlin . He then worked as a district forester, forest judge and until 1990 as a forest scientist at the Research Institute for Forestry and Wood Management in Eberswalde. He was the chairman of the state association of the German Forest Protection Association and from 1998 its honorary chairman. Grunert was married and the father of two children.

Grunert was a member of the SPD. In 1990 and 1994 he moved into the Brandenburg State Parliament as a direct candidate. There he was a member of various committees, including a member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forests and the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Regional Planning (from 1994). In addition, from 1994 to 1999 he was the age president of the state parliament. From 1990 to 1993 he was also a member of the district council of Eberswalde .
