Hans Madein

Hans Madeín (born December 15, 1857 in Neumarkt ; † unknown) was a South Tyrolean architect and builder .

His father Lorenz Madeín (born August 26, 1829 in Schleis ; † April 1, 1888 in Neumarkt) was a master carpenter in Neumarkt. Madeín worked for the magazine Der Kunstfreund , which was published by the imperial-royal conservator Karl Atz . Madeín was sentenced to two years in prison in 1891 for fraud against the city of Bolzano and the St. Anton cotton mill and was pardoned in 1892. He left Bolzano in the 1890s and emigrated to Brazil .

  • 1885 Zollhäusel on Bahnhofplatz, a small, colorful brick building; today the frog fountain is here .
  • 1887 Conversion of the Glöckelhof in the neo-renaissance style (Villa Grabmayr).
  • 1887 Loreto Chapel in Auer ; on behalf of Ida von Malfér. Located to the right of Reichsstraße on the so-called Heide (a piece of St. Peter)
  • In 1888 Madeín was elected to the Gries spa board.
  • 1888 Villa Fagen in Gries. Was bought in 1889 by a Mr. Lottermann and in 1892 by the spa doctor Capellmann.
  • 1888 boys' school on Grieser Platz; today the post office is here.
  • 1889 Villa Clara in Gries, corner of Fagen and Nino-Bixio-Straße.
  • 1890 Construction management for the reconstruction of the burned down cotton mill in St. Anton
