Fritz Kraemer (SS member)
Fritz Kraemer (* December 12, 1900 in Stettin ; † June 23, 1959 in Hamburg-Ohlsdorf ) was a German officer , most recently an SS brigade leader and major general of the police and Waffen-SS , most recently commander of the 12th SS Panzer Division " Hitler Youth ” .
During the Second World War he was awarded the German Cross in Gold on January 29, 1942 and the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on December 17, 1942 .
After the war
In 1945 Fritz Krämer surrendered to the US Army together with Sepp Dietrich and in 1946, due to his leading role during the Malmedy massacre , had to answer in court and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
