Fritz Pellkofer (born August 3, 1902 in Bayrischzell , † August 23, 1943 in Rossosch , Soviet Union ) was a German cross-country skier .

Career

Pellkofer belonged to the Bayrischzeller Kleeblatt together with Hans Bauer and Gustl Müller . In 1922, the athletes finally founded the Bayrischzell Ski Club and in 1930 the Bayrischzeller Ski School. In 1928 he became German champion with the 4 × 10 kilometer relay of the Bavarian Ski Association. He also took part in the 50 km race at the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz in 1928 and finished in 15th place.

Pellkofer fought on the Eastern Front during the Second World War . He was reported missing on January 23, 1942; He is believed to have died in the course of fighting over the Soviet city ​​of Rossosh .
