Nydia Caro

Nydia Caro (born June 7, 1948 in New York City ) is a Puerto Rican actress and singer.

Caro was born in New York to Puerto Rican parents. She studied singing, dance and acting at the New York School of Performing Arts . After the death of her father, she went to Puerto Rico. There Dímelo Tú was released in 1967 as the first of more than 20 albums . They won with Carmen Mercado Song Hermano Tengo Frio first prize at the Festival of Bogota, with Julio Iglesias ' song Vete Ya third prize in the Benidorm Festival and was in 1974 with Hoy canto por cantar winner of the OTI Festival .

As an actress, she mainly worked for television, where she got a leading role in the soap Sombras del Pasado and had her own show. In 2000, she played in Stephen Hopkins ' film Under Suspicion (Mörderisches play) a major role alongside Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman .
