Fritz Rehbock

Friedrich Georg Johannes "Fritz" Rehbock (born July 16, 1896 in Hanover ; † March 24, 1989 ) was a German mathematician who dealt with descriptive geometry .

Rehbock studied from 1916/17 (interrupted by World War I) and from 1919 to 1925 at the University of Berlin , where he received his doctorate in 1926 under Richard von Mises (The linear point, plane and ray images of descriptive geometry). In 1927 he passed his state examination and from 1928 he was assistant at the TH Stuttgart and from 1930 assistant at the University of Bonn, where he qualified as a professor in 1932 and became a private lecturer. In 1935 he became a lecturer with a teaching position in Bonn and in 1939 a full professor at the TH Braunschweig , where he was director of the Institute for Applied Mathematics and retired in 1964.
