Fritz Tomann

Fritz Tomann (born July 4, 1890 in Preßburg , † December 21, 1955 in Graz ) was an Austrian officer and knight of the Military Maria Theresa Order .

Life

Tomann was last major in the Austro-Hungarian Army . After the end of the First World War, he was awarded the Knight's Cross of this order by the Chapter of the Military Maria Theresa Order.

In 1921 Tomann became active in the legitimist Corps Danubia Graz . He was general director of Steirerversicherung and owned the Hahnenschloss forest estate on the Herzogsberg near Edelschrott .

Tomann is buried in the St. Leonhard Cemetery in Graz . On the tombstone he is named as Fritz Freiherr von Tomann - a title that would have been granted to him as a knight of the Military Maria Theresa Order during the time of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy .
