Fritz Vogt

Fritz Vogt (born July 5, 1916 in Hagen-Vorhalle ; † April 10, 1996 in Lüdenscheid ) was a German politician of the FDP .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hagen, Vogt studied law in Cologne , Königsberg , Kiel and Marburg . During the Second World War he was a soldier, then a trainee lawyer and assessor . In 1949 Vogt received his doctorate in Marburg. He then worked as an assessor, and from 1953 as a lawyer in Hagen. He was also a notary in Lüdenscheid from 1956 .

From 1960 Vogt was a member of the FDP and from 1966 first board member of the Westphalia-West district association and from 1968 to 1978 deputy chairman. He was also chairman of the Lüdenscheid district party from 1971 to 1974, and from 1974 to 1978 in the same position in the new Brandenburg district . Since 1972 Vogt was also a member of the party's state executive committee. From 1961 to 1970 he was a council member in Lüdenscheid and from 1968 to 1971 a member of the Lüdenscheid district council. Vogt was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1970 to 1980. During this time he was Vice President of Parliament.

In addition to his political activities, Vogt made a contribution to founding and relocating the University of Hagen and was therefore made an honorary senator of the university in 1991.
