Fritz Weber (politician, 1920)

Fritz Weber (born August 2, 1920 in Regen ; † July 11, 2000 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Weber attended elementary school and advanced training school. In 1934 he began his administration apprenticeship at the Regen city administration, during which time he was a candidate for the middle senior administration. After completing his training, he rose from clerk to civil servant and city councilor. During the Second World War he suffered several injuries while doing military service, as a result of which he was recognized as a severely disabled person and released from Soviet captivity in July 1945 . After the war he went into politics: In 1948 he was elected to the Regener Kreisag for the first time, where he was a member of the district committee and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. Later he also sat on the city council, was local and subdistrict chairman of the SPD as well as state social judge, chairman of the local cartel of the DGB and district chairman of the VdK . In 1966 he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament. Re-election in 1970 was unsuccessful, but in September 1972 he replaced the resigned Alfons Gerstl and sat in parliament until 1974.
