Fritz Wilms (born September 28, 1900 in Zweibrücken , † October 6, 1976 in Kaiserslautern ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

Wilms graduated from high school in 1920 and completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter and book printer. Then he passed the master's examination. In 1938 he founded a printing company in Kaiserslautern. After the Second World War he was chairman of the Association of Graphic Companies in Rhineland-Palatinate and of the State Association of House and Landowners .

Wilms joined the FDP in 1946 and was elected to the city ​​council of Kaiserslautern in 1948 . From 1950 he was chairman of the FDP Pfalz. From 1951 to 1955 and from 1957 to 1963 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . There he was vice-president of the state parliament from 1951 to 1955.

Honor

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate honored him with the award of the Freiherr vom Stein plaque .
