Corpus Christi (Creglingen)
The Roman Catholic parish church of Corpus Christi is located in Creglingen in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg . It is consecrated to the Lord's Eucharistic Body .
history
Since the introduction of the Reformation , Creglingen was predominantly evangelical. A Roman Catholic community did not form again until after the Second World War , when Catholic expellees came to Creglingen. This is how the Corpus Christi Church was built in 1953. The foundation stone was laid on June 28, 1953 and the consecration took place on June 29, 1954. In 1966 a Catholic parish was established. All Catholics of today's town of Creglingen belong to the Corpus Christi Church.
The naming with Corpus Christi was based on the Evangelical Herrgottskirche in Herrgottstal near Creglingen.
The Creglingen Corpus Christi church is now co-administered by the rectory in Weikersheim and belongs to this pastoral care unit 3 , which is assigned to the Mergentheim dean's office in the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese .
