from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The frog as a heraldic animal is not very common in heraldry .

The template is the natural tree frog . He is depicted in the natural sitting posture or in a top view with his legs laid back or spread apart and with large eyes. The main position in the natural sitting position is the line of sight to the heraldic right side. In the top view, the alignment in the escutcheon can deviate from the vertical position. Several frogs are also possible in the coat of arms . In terms of color scheme , the color often chosen is green, followed by silver and gold. Crowned frogs are possible. The frog's leg is also included in the coat of arms.

Note the blazon to clarify whether it is a frog or a toad . This is also possible as a heraldic animal, but is not preferred.
