Frossos is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Frossos belongs to the district and the city (pt: Cidade ) Braga in the district of Braga . The community had an area of 1.3 km² and 1802 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Frossos and Merelim (São Pedro) merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Merelim (São Pedro) e Frossos .
