São Pedro de Merelim is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
São Pedro de Merelim belongs to the district of Braga in the same district Braga . The community had an area of 1.85 km² and 1926 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Merelim (São Pedro) and Frossos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Merelim (São Pedro) e Frossos . Merelim (São Pedro) is the seat of this newly formed community.
