Frost protection

Buildings , components or devices are called frost-proof ,

  • which are protected against the ingress of water and its freezing out - z. B. the sub-construction of roads with a gravel or gravel bed ,

or

  • which contain moisture and are insulated against the ingress of cold (actually: against the escape of heat energy ),

or

  • The liquid / s contained in them are protected against freezing by adding suitable antifreeze agents (within a certain temperature range).
