style

Frowning's music is assigned to Funeral Doom. Sometimes classified as "Funeral Doom in its pure form" or "pure (Funeral) Doom, without outbreaks, neither in tempo nor variance". For the Doom-Metal.com website, the form of play presented by the group is described as "dark with deep, tortured vocals and effective lead melodies ". Genre representatives such as Ahab , Shape of Despair , Mournful Congregation and Aphonic Threnody are cited as comparables in various reviews . According to the reviewers, the music consists primarily of "repetitive reef walls", while the singing is described as a growl.
