Band history
Frozen Crown was founded in 2017. In addition to releasing their own albums, they mainly support well-known metal bands as a support act . In 2019 they accompanied Elvenking on their “3 Ways To Magick” tour (including five concerts in Germany). In a concert report for the magazine metal.de, editor Christian Plath noted a mixed reaction from the German audience: “[...] somehow the spark at Frozen Crown doesn't really want to jump over. Although everyone on stage tries to inspire the audience. ”For 2020, the accompaniment of the complete“ Extreme Power Metal Tour 2020 ”by Dragonforce (two concerts in Germany) is planned.
style
Frozen Crown describes itself as a "female fronted" power metal band with influences from classic heavy metal and melodic death metal . The lyrics of the band are in English . The style of music has been described as "in the intersection between Sonata Arctica , Nightwish and Orden Ogan ". Frozen Crown stands out from other bands in the (male-dominated) genre with its almost exclusively female vocals.
