Fujimi Tamura

Fujimi Tamura ( Japanese 田村 富士 美 , Tamura Fujimi ; * around 1970 ) is a Japanese badminton player .

Career

Fujimi Tamura studied at the Japanese Sport University . During this time she had her first major success when she won the 1988 women's doubles championship for students with Miwako Nishida ( 西 田 美 和 子 ).

In 1991 Fujimi reached the semifinals with Yoshiko Iwata in women's doubles at the General Badminton Championships , where, however, they were subject to the tournament winners Tomomi Matsuo and Kyōko Sasage . At that time she was still playing for the Yonex factory team . Fujimi Tamura won bronze in women's doubles with Yoshiko Iwata at the Asian Championships in 1992 . In 1993 they both won the Japanese Adult Championship.

After she left the company, she won the Japanese adult championship again in 1995, but this time in mixed with Fumitake Shimizu. From 1996 she played in doubles with Keiko Yoshitomi for the team of the Yoshimatsu Dental Clinic, but remained comparatively unsuccessful that year, while in 1997 she won the mixed championships with Fumitake Shimizu again. During the year she moved to his team at the electronics chain Best Denki , where she reached the semifinals with him at the 1997 General Badminton Championships. In 1998 both won first in the adult championship and then in the general championships. At the Japan Open of the same year she was fifth. Then she no longer took part in the General Championships.

In 2001 she took part in the national senior championships, where she won the women's doubles together with 田頭 in the over 30s class .
