Fumihiko Machida
Fumihiko Machida ( Japanese 町 田 文彦 , Machida Fumihiko ; born March 17, 1969 in Tochigi Prefecture ) is a former badminton player from Japan .
Career
Fumihiko Machida competed in the Summer Olympics in 1992 and 1996 . In 1992 he was eliminated in the men's singles in the 2nd round against Poul-Erik Høyer Larsen . In doubles with Koji Miya , it was the end of the line in round one. Four years later he did better in the individual and finished ninth after two wins. At the 1991 World Cup , he was eliminated in round two.
Nationally he won three singles titles in a row from 1993 to 1995. In the last year he also won doubles with Seiichi Watanabe .
