In the 1970s there by H. Lange on the slopes either side of a gully a broad middle Stone Age discovered Fund concentration. Lange collected around 10,000 artifacts on an area of around 250,000 m² . The scattering of finds reveals 25 individual sites with a diameter of 40 to 50 m, all of which contain a similar range of tools.

Among the microliths , the triangles, triangular points and simple points predominate . There are end retouchings , scratches , core axes and burins , as well as blowstones and numerous retouchings .

As the only evidence of Mesolithic art in Lower Saxony, there is an engraved herringbone pattern on an elongated clay slate rubble .

The found material - 91% chips , blades and cores - consists of around 95% Baltic flint and around 4% silica slate .

The spectrum of microliths dates the sites of Wedebruch to the earlier Mesolithic. During this period, hunters and gatherers visited this area over and over again over a long period of time - possibly in a seasonal rhythm.
