Functional airspace block
A functional airspace block (abbreviation FAB from English functional airspace block ) is part of the European airspace . The Single European Sky legislative package is intended to divide the European airspace into the following nine blocks, which will replace the national areas or summarize them as indicated:
- BALTIC FAB: Lithuania , Poland
- BLUE MED: Greece , Italy , Malta , Cyprus , ( Egypt , Albania , Jordan , Tunisia )
- DANUBE: Bulgaria , Romania
- FABCE (FAB Central Europe): Bosnia-Herzegovina , Croatia , Austria , Slovakia , Slovenia , Czech Republic , Hungary
- FABEC (FAB Europe Central): Belgium , Germany , France , Luxembourg , Netherlands , Switzerland
- NEFAB (North European FAB): Denmark , Estonia , Finland , Iceland , Latvia , Norway , Sweden
- NUAC (Nordic Upper Airspace Center): Denmark , Sweden
- SW FAB: Portugal (Lisbon FIR), Spain
- UK- IRELAND FAB: Ireland , United Kingdom
