Fushigi Mahō Fan Fan Pharmacy ( Japanese ふ し ぎ 魔法 フ ァ ン フ ァ ン ・ フ ァ ー マ シ ィ ー ) is an anime television series by the Toei Animation studio from 1998. The fantasy comedy was directed by Yukio Kaizawa and based on an idea by Yukiko Hakuba .
content
After moving to a new small town with her parents, the girl, nicknamed Popuri, explores the nearby shopping street. There she finds the Fan Fan Pharmacy and first secretly observes its owner Fukiko-san, who is a magician. At first Popuri is frightened and scared, but another trader tells her that Fukiko-san's medicine always helps. So the next day Popuri goes to Fan Fan Pharmacy and asks whether Fukiko-san is really a magician and whether she can learn magic from her. Fukiko-san shows her the magic in a fruit that Popuri found and makes the girl levitate. Popuri receives a bottle from which she can release little magical ghosts to help her.
Production and publication
The television series was made by Toei Animation Studio and directed by Yukio Kaizawa . The idea came from Yukiko Hakuba and the script was written by Chiaki J. Konaka . Ikuko Ito created the character design, other design comes from Yoshiyuki Shikano . The artistic direction was alternately with Hidekazu Nakanishi , Katsunori Ishida , Masakazu Miyake and Yoshiyuki Shikano and for two individual episodes with Kenichi Tajiri and Tomoko Yoshida . Iriya Azuma , Kōichi Yada from Toei Agency and Megumi Ueda from TV Asahi were responsible for the production .
The total of 48 episodes, each with a running time of 12 minutes, were broadcast from February 15, 1998 to February 6, 1999 on TV Asahi in Japan. It was broadcast together with the series Kocchi Muite! Which was not related to Fushigi Mahō Fan Fan Pharmacy . Miiko ( こ っ ち む い て み い 子 ) and Heli-Tako Pū-chan ( ヘ リ タ コ ぷ ー ち ゃ ん ) under the title Anime Shūkan DX! Mi-Pha-Pu ( ア ニ メ 週刊 DX! み い フ ァ ぷ ー ). QTV Channel 11 showed the anime translated into Tagalog in the Philippines.
