Fuyumi Ono

Fuyumi Ono (小野 不由 美, ONO Fuyumi, born December 24, 1960 in Nakatsu on the island of Kyushu ) is a Japanese writer who is best known for her novels The Twelve Kingdoms (十二国記, "Jūni Kokuki"). These novels were adapted into a popular anime series .

Life

Ono completed her studies in Buddhism at the University of Ōtani ( Kyōto ) and was employed by the publishing house Kōdansha in 1988 . Her debut novel is entitled Sleepless on Birthday Eve (バ ー ​​ス デ イ ・ イ ブ は 眠 れ な い, bāsudei ibu wa nemurenai ). Ono is married to crime novelist Naoyuki Uchida , who writes under the pseudonym Yukito Ayatsuji. He is known as the author of the horror novel Another . Her name has been Uchida Fuyumi since she got married, but she continues to write under her maiden name. Before starting work on The Twelve Kingdoms , Fuyumi Ono wrote The Demonic Child (魔 性 の 子, Mashō no Ko ), a horror novel about a boy from another world. She later worked certain events from this novel into the Twelve Kingdoms series . The short stories set in the different kingdoms include: Kasho (華 胥), Toei (冬 栄), Shokan (書簡), Kizan (帰 山) and Jogetsu (乗 月). In February 2008, a new short story of the Twelve Kingdoms , "Hisho no Tori" (丕緒の鳥) in the journal Yomyom of Shinchosha published.

On March 18, 2007, she said in an interview with the Anime News Network that she was currently rewriting a girl horror series that (she) wrote a long time ago.
