Earl Verney
Earl Verney , in the Province of Leinster , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Ireland .
The Earls' family seat was Claydon House near Middle Claydon in Aylesbury Vale in Buckinghamshire .
Award and history of the title
The title was created on March 22, 1743 for the English MP Ralph Verney, 2nd Viscount Fermanagh .
In 1717 he had inherited the subordinate titles Viscount Fermanagh and Baron Verney , of Belturbet in the County of Cavan , from his father , which were awarded to him on June 16, 1703 in the Peerage of Ireland, as well as the title Baronet , of Middle Claydon in the County of Buckingham, who was given to his grandfather on September 24, 1696 in the Baronage of England .
All four titles expired on the death of his childless son, the 2nd Earl, on March 31, 1791.
