The GÜFA Society for the Takeover and Perception of Film Performing Rights mbH is a collecting society that represents the performance and reproduction rights of its members in Germany (the company's headquarters are in Düsseldorf ) . In its basic structure it is almost identical to GEMA , but the film producers / rights holders affiliated to GÜFA are those who mainly deal with the production of erotic and pornographic films.

As with GEMA, membership in GÜFA is voluntary. There are various contract and price models for members that are similar to those of GEMA. The GÜFA stipulates for its members that "the GÜFA emblem must be shown on all video cassette covers, video film boxes (covers), on the video cassette itself and in the opening credits of the film!" The author must also be named in the opening and closing credits " Copyright by ... ".

In addition, the GÜFA stipulates an additional warning for hardcore productions or indexed films: "This film may not be offered, shown, sold or otherwise made accessible to young people under the age of 18." This last-mentioned text must be on the cassette itself (narrow or broadside) together with the GÜFA emblem, see above, and legibly shown as a leader at the beginning of the film.

GÜFA was approved on December 13, 1976 by the German Patent Office in Munich as a collecting society under the law on the exercise of copyrights and related rights of September 9, 1965.
