Gärdet is an underground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Ladugårdsgärdet district . The station is served by the Röda linjen of the Stockholm metro system . The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 9,000 commuters get on here.
The station went into operation on September 2, 1967, when the section of Röda linjen between Östermalmstorg and Ropsten was inaugurated. The platforms are arranged separately from each other, with one about 29 meters, the other about 20 meters underground. The station is located between the Karlaplan and Ropsten stations . It is about three kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
