Gérard Vial

Gérard Vial (born November 11, 1941 in Saint-Martin ) is a former Swiss racing driver .

Racing career

Gérard Vial competed in several sports car races in the late 1970s . Together with Antoine Salamin, he finished fourth overall in the 1978 6-hour race in Dijon , a race in the World Sports Car Championship that year . The emergency car was a Porsche 934 .

Antoine Salamin was also his partner in the 1978 Le Mans 24-hour race . The team also included Joël Laplacette and Yves Courage . The trio dropped out after an accident.
