The Góra Matemblewska is a 160 meter high elevation in Gdansk in Poland . The hill is only 13 m higher than the near road located in the field of the district Brętowo ( Brentau ). After the incorporation of Brentau in 1933, it was the highest point in Gdańsk's urban area until 1973. At that time it was measured at 159.9 meters and is now measured at 160.3 meters. It only got its name after 1945 when Danzig became part of Poland. It was named after the forester's house Matęblewo (German meaning: Matemblewoer Berg ).
