  • Lipnik ( Leipzig )
  • Matemblewo ( Matemblewo )
  • Niedźwiednik ( Bärenwinkel )
  • Nowiec ( Nawitz ).

history

Brętowo was also called Brentowo, finally Brentau and from 1818 belonged to the district of Danzig and came with it to Germany in 1871 . With the dissolution of the district, Brentau came to the new district of Danziger Höhe in 1887 and with this district from 1920 to 1939 became part of the Danzig mandate of the League of Nations. In 1933 Brentau left the district and was incorporated into Danzig. In 1939 the Third Reich annexed the mandate territory in an act that was not recognized by international law, incorporated it into the occupying Gdansk-West Prussia , to which Brentau (like all of Gdansk) belonged until the end of the Second World War .
