Suchanino (German Zigankenberg , Kashubian Cëgónczi) is a district of Gdańsk ( Danzig ) in Poland , this covers an area of 1.4 km² and has 11234 inhabitants with a population density of 8018 inhabitants / km². In 1902 the place of residence was administratively assigned to the city of Danzig.

The district is located in the middle of today's urban area and borders on the districts of Aniołki , Siedlce , Piecki-Migowo and Wrzeszcz Górny . Suchanino is characterized by prefabricated buildings from the 1970s and is densely populated. However, there are also single-family houses.
history
Zochanino or Zochanike was mentioned in a document in the middle of the 14th century. Zigankenberg belonged one after the other to the district of Danzig (from 1818) and to the district of Danziger Höhe (from 1887) and was incorporated into the city of Danzig on April 1, 1902. The name Suchanino was established in 1949. During the Second World War , the “Zigankenberg brickworks external command” of the Stutthof concentration camp was established.
